Narrow Streets in Advertising

Spotted on a Metro North train.  No photo of St. Peter's, the Colosseum or the Spanish Steps for Alitalia, just a shot of a really narrow streetIt must have tested well in focus groups?

  1. Hey Charlie,

I was inspired by the recent street narrow posts and did one of my own. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

  2. A Really Narrow Street (ie a pedestrian street) is a Place, which makes it a good location for photographs, movies and so forth. Nobody takes a picture of a Non-Place. Just think how often you see a typical WalMart powercenter big box retail parking lot in a movie, television show, magazine ad, etc.
